I was never one for music videos, but sometimes they do so much more justice to the lyrics, I realized after having listened to this song so many times. Different things will stand out to different people, depending on their personal experiences. This video is convicting to the point of tears for me, because it reminds me that I know very well how careless actions do so much more damage to an injured heart. Because I know that, sometimes I want to slap myself for being so irritatingly (and deceivingly) cheerful and flippant, simply out of habit… and really, who am I trying to please anyway?
